This wine, sourced predominantly from our Stags Leap Vineyard estate, displays intense dark fruit aromas of blackberry preserves, strawberry, and black cherry, with hints of cocoa, espresso, and cinnamon. The well-rounded palate reveals bright red plum and touches of cedar, tobacco, and cherry cordial. Smooth tannins support the fruit character. Enjoy with a hearty winter stew of beef and root vegetables.
Charmstone represents the full natural magic of our estate vineyards throughout Napa Valley. This deep garnet wine offers a vibrant bouquet of stewed cherry, raspberry, and sweet vanilla with notes of cinnamon stick and toasted clove. The palate displays red plum and raspberry cream flavors with hints of cocoa powder that linger over the velvety finish. Charmstone is a versatile, fruit-forward wine that pairs beautifully with grilled steak or creamy, soft cow’s milk cheeses.
As our flagship wine, FORTIS comes from the finest blocks of our estate vineyards every vintage. Optimal extraction gives the wine ripe red and black fruit characters, and aging in new French oak contributes complex vanilla, oak, and spice. This is an impeccably structured wine, framed by plush tannins that promise to age beautifully over the next decade. Enjoy with New York strip, braised short ribs, or a rich cheese plate.
The berries on the vines from our Oakville estate are small and have great fruit intensity. This deep ruby wine has a pleasing aroma of black cherry, sweet oak, and vanilla. The palate is complex, showing a briary character, red plum, savory ginger-soy, and red licorice. The structure has a medium body weight with dusty tannins and finishes with a sweet caramel vanilla note.
Onyx is a one-of-a-kind blend that features Cabernet Sauvignon and other distinctive red varietal wines from our estate vineyards, including Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Tannat, and Malbec. This is a full-bodied, fruit-forward wine with inviting aromas of sweet cherry and dried fruit that lead to notes of dark red cherry and dark chocolate on the palate. Enjoy with grilled chops, Parmesan polenta, or a simple juicy burger. We love this wine with Abbaye de Belloc, a sheep’s-milk cheese made by Benedictine monks.
